The brand-new, Tubeless-ready Traverse Alloy brings mountain-taming performance slightly closer to earth with a carefully selected build designed to let riders take full advantage of the 30mm wide alloy rim and DT Swiss hub internals, spokes, and nipples. Riders can rally this wheelset day-in and day-out.

Durability and precision
The Traverse rim is extruded from our E5 aluminum alloy, meaning it is tough enough to handle backcountry rock gardens and questionable line choices at the bike park with confidence. It features a good and wide 30mm internal width, making it ideal for providing modern wide tires with enough support to corner and jump with precision, minimizing tire roll and squirmy deformation.

Reliability and serviceability front and center
Our Roval hub shell is stuffed with the NEW DT Swiss 370 LN hub internals. Sealed bearings, fast engaging freehub, trouble-free performance, and easy maintenance are at the core of the Traverse.

Elegant utility
Tried and true DT Swiss Competition J-bend spokes lace the rims to the hubs. 28 of them per wheel. Same length spokes for both sides of each wheel, same length front and rear. Solid stuff, unlikely to creak or corrode or fail. Easy to replace if you happen to jam a stick through the spokes (this is mountain biking; these things happen sometimes). Durable, serviceable, hassle-free.

Solid modeling
Before they ever exist in the physical world, every Roval component from hub to rim to complete wheel assembly is designed as a “solid model” and optimized using Finite Element Analysis. This allows our engineers to rapidly advance their designs before committing to the laborious process of building prototypes.
